Tell me what you're building.

I read every message myself. If it’s a fit, I’ll reply within two working days.

If the brief is clear and the timeline is realistic, I’d like to hear from you. I take on a small number of projects at a time, which is why I still answer every enquiry myself.

A good first message

01

What you're building

The product, the audience, and roughly where the project stands today.

02

What you need from a site

The job it has to do — sell, explain, recruit, convert. Not a list of pages.

03

Timing and budget

Even a rough range. It saves us both a call if the numbers don't line up.

When I'm not the right fit

01

You need a team, not one person

If you need five people in a Slack channel by next week, I'm the wrong shape for that.

02

The brief is still inside your head

I can help you find it, but I can't design against a brief that changes weekly.

03

The scope keeps changing

Fixed-price work needs a fixed brief. If it's likely to shift every week, we'll need a different arrangement.

What happens next

01

I reply within two working days

With either a few questions or a straight yes or no on fit.

02

We get on a call

Thirty minutes, no deck. Just working out if the project makes sense.

03

You get a proposal

Scope, price and timeline in writing, usually within a week of the call.
